Blackall-Tambo Regional Council is pleased to advise that the first round of applications for the Shopfront Renewal Program has now been assessed, with a number of local businesses approved to progress with improvements to their shopfronts.
Launched in February 2026, the program provides co-funding of up to $15,000 to support eligible upgrades that enhance safety, accessibility and overall presentation. The initiative forms part of Council’s broader commitment to strengthening our main streets, encouraging local investment and creating welcoming spaces for residents and visitors alike.
Funded projects include improvements such as exterior painting and façade enhancements, upgraded signage, accessibility and safety works, and general presentation upgrades. These improvements not only benefit individual businesses but also contribute to the vibrancy and appeal of our town centres.
Council is encouraged by the strong interest shown in the program and commends local business owners for their willingness to invest in their premises and in the future of our communities.
Applications remain open until 31 May 2026, with funding limited. Businesses interested in applying are encouraged to review the Program Policy and Application Form available on Council’s website.
