The Blackall-Tambo region in the heart of Qld’s Outback approx. 900 km north west of Brisbane. The comprising of two towns, Blackall and Tambo, which both lie along the historic Barcoo River and are positioned on the Landsborough Highway (Matilda Highway). Blackall is an attractive town, classed as a remote community with a population of approx. 1560 people. Tambo is a rural community with a population of around 620 people. The Blackall-Tambo Councils main office is located in Blackall.
