What we do 

The Blackall Neighbourbood centre program aims to enhance the quality of life of individuals & families living within the Blackall-Tambo Region.

Youth Services

The Blackall-Tambo Regional Council Youth Program strives to encourage the growth and delveopment of the community's youth through socical peer interaction.

Activities on offer for both Blackall and Tambo youth include weekly dance lessons and youth group as well as monthly cooking lessons and movie nights for children aged between 6-17.

Rotations are made weekly to ensure the youth stay engaged with some activites including homework club, arts and crafts, competitions, science experiments, sports, commuter games and many maore.

Our objective is to build knowledge and skills by delivering fun and meaningful events and activites that the youth can enjoy and remember in many years to come.

60's & Better Program 

The doors are open at 60's & Better for anyone who is middle aged, whether a resident of Blackall and Tambo or a visitor, to call in and check out our activities, have a chat and a cuppa and meet new friends.

We have a couple of craft mornings if you would like to try Mosaics or Folk Art. We are open to suggestions for any activities that you would like to try - Contact Lorelei on  0428731390 or call in.

We also meet at the Blackall Aquatic Centre on Tuesday for exercises in the water. Just $2 for the pool fee and the benefits are priceless.

Every Thursday we have a 2 course lunch for $10 for catering purposes please let the coordinator know by Tuesday each week.

There is a very extensive book exchange where you can swap your books or purchase new ones for a small fee. 

We have a central position in the main street and our windows are a great opportunity to display and see your craft items. Just call in and discuss your speciality so we can accommodate you.

Sports & Recreation Program 

Blackall-Tambo Sports and Recreation Program is based around developing and promoting sport, recreation, healthy lifestyles and physical activities within the Blackall-Tambo. alond with the development of 

programs aimed at addressing inactivity and obesity. Activites on offer for both Blackall and Tambo include group fitness classes, Pilates, water aerobics, kids sport and yoga (in practice). All activities are free of charge 

to ensure maximum participation and accessibility. Our sport and recreation officer is at the centre Monday, Tuesday and Wednesdays. For more information about what classes are on daily please contact
