The Blackall community is invited to lace up their runners and get involved in a fantastic local fundraising event this April.

On Saturday, 11 April, a charity 5km and 10km Run/Walk will be held at the Blackall Aquatic Centre to raise funds for Rural Aid.

Rural Aid is a leading Australian charity dedicated to supporting farming families and rural communities through times of hardship, including drought, flood and natural disasters. The organisation provides practical assistance such as fodder, drinking water, financial support, free counselling and community resilience programs, helping ensure farmers can continue producing food and fibre for all Australians.

Participants can register for either the 5km or 10km distance, with all fitness levels encouraged to take part. Whether you’re walking, jogging or running, this event is about coming together as a community for a meaningful cause.

The day will incorporate the Aquatic Centre facilities, giving participants the opportunity to enjoy a swim or relax in the spa after the event - the perfect way to cool down and unwind.

All entry fees will go directly to Rural Aid. Coffee and morning tea will also be available for purchase from The Grazing Lane, offering a great chance to refuel and connect with friends after the run.

Registrations are now open. Keep an eye on Council’s social media channels for further details and how to sign up.
