Blackall-Tambo Regional Council is inviting community members to have their say on proposed changes to Queensland’s state electoral boundaries.

The review is being undertaken by the Queensland Redistribution Commission, an independent body responsible for ensuring electorates have a similar number of voters across the state. Redistributions are conducted periodically to reflect population changes and maintain fair representation.

Proposed boundary changes will apply to communities within the Blackall-Tambo Local Government Area (LGA) formally changing how the region is represented at a state level. Council is seeking feedback from residents to better understand local sentiment for these changes and ensure community views are considered in any submission made to the Commission.

Council has developed a short, voluntary survey to gather feedback. Responses will be summarised and used to inform Council’s submission. The survey does not collect personal identifying information. Residents are encouraged to review the proposed changes and complete the survey online:

The survey will remain open until 6 April 2026, 8:00am.
