Members and friends of the Barcoo Retirement Village gathered this week at the Blackall Aquatic Centre for the first monthly morning tea following aqua aerobics —celebrating fitness, friendship, and community connection.
Thanks to an initiative by Kelly Bethel from the Village and Council’s Sport & Recreation Officer Natalie Dendle, Blackall’s community is building strong social and fitness foundations — proving it’s never too late to stay active and meet new people.
With classes for Aqua Aerobics already enjoying weekly sessions at the pool, a morning tea with delicious treats from Sam at The Grazing Lane (Blackall Aquatic Centre's on-site cafe) was the ideal way to expand the program on a monthly basis.
Council are proud to be supporting our community to make moments like this possible, and invite new members to join the sessions.
