Small Business Friendly Council
Small businesses are an important part of the Blackall-Tambo region, creating local jobs, supporting our communities and contributing to a strong local economy.
Blackall-Tambo Regional Council is committed to working alongside local businesses to understand their needs, improve communication and create a supportive environment where businesses can grow and succeed.
Small Business Friendly Program
The Queensland Small Business Commissioner's Small Business Friendly (SBF) Program supports councils to improve the way they work with small businesses.
The program brings councils, businesses, industry and government together to:
- Improve communication and engagement with small businesses.
- Reduce barriers and make it easier to do business.
- Support business capability, resilience and growth.
- Promote opportunities for local businesses.
- Encourage collaboration and partnerships.
In November 2024, Queensland Small Business Commissioner Dominique Lamb joined Mayor Andrew Martin, Chief Executive Officer Mike Lollback, and Judith Taylor, President of the Tambo Tourism & Business Association Inc., to officially sign the Small Business Friendly Charter.
Through this commitment, Blackall-Tambo Regional Council became the 51st Queensland council to join the Small Business Friendly Program.
