The future of the Blackall-Tambo region starts with our young people, and Blackall-Tambo Regional Council was proud to support the 2026 Positive Pathways Event (Blackall Careers Fair), held on Friday 20 March at the Blackall Cultural Centre.

Delivered in partnership with schools in both Blackall and Tambo, the event brought together local businesses, industry representatives, training providers and organisations to showcase the many career and pathway opportunities available to young people, both within the region and beyond.

Secondary students attended the event across the morning, connecting with exhibitors, asking questions and gaining valuable insight into future study, training and employment options. The strong level of engagement highlighted the importance of providing opportunities for young people to explore what’s possible and begin shaping their future.

Council recognises the vital role initiatives like Positive Pathways play in building confidence, broadening horizons and strengthening connections between education, industry and community.

Blackall-Tambo Regional Council extends its thanks to all parents, teachers and family who supporting the event, as well as participating businesses and organisations for their time, knowledge and support in helping deliver such a meaningful and inspiring event.
