Sporting Facilities

Blackall–Tambo Regional Council provides a range of sporting facilities that support local clubs, schools and community recreation activities across the region.

These facilities include dedicated sporting venues as well as shared-use community spaces that enable year-round participation in sport and recreation.

Blackall Indoor Cricket Centre

Located within the Blackall Showgrounds, the Indoor Cricket Centre can be used for casual practice, skill development and community recreation, providing a flexible all‑weather venue for cricket training and other sporting activities, like basketball, soccer and netball.

This covered facility is ideal for individuals, clubs, schools and community groups looking to practice batting, bowling and fielding away from the elements. Its sheltered design helps players of all ages continue to train year‑round, regardless of weather conditions.

Facility features include:

  • Covered net space suitable for indoor practice and training
  • Flexible layout that can accommodate individual, group or team sessions
  • Easy access via the Blackall Showgrounds 
  • Convenient location next to other recreation facilities (gym, pool, outdoor netball and tennis courts)
