Rates

Blackall-Tambo Regional Council levies rates to fund the delivery of essential services and infrastructure across the region. These services include roads, waste management, community facilities, parks and gardens, and other local services that support our communities.

 

Rate Notices
Rate notices are issued twice yearly for the following periods:
  • 1 January – 30 June
  • 1 July – 31 December
Each notice outlines the amount payable, due dates, and any applicable discounts.

 

Payment Options
Council offers a range of convenient payment options for ratepayers, including:
  • BPAY
  • In person at Council offices
  • By mail

Discounts and Due Dates
Discounts may apply for payments received in full by the nominated due date. Ratepayers are encouraged to refer to their current rate notice for specific discount periods and deadlines.
 
Overdue Rates
Rates not paid by the due date may be subject to interest charges in accordance with Council’s adopted policies. Council encourages ratepayers experiencing difficulty meeting payment deadlines to make contact as early as possible to discuss available options.
 
Payment Arrangements
Council understands that circumstances can vary and offers payment arrangements for ratepayers who may require additional flexibility. To discuss a payment plan, please contact Council’s Customer Service team.
 
Pensioner Concessions
Eligible pensioners may be entitled to a concession on their rates. Applications and eligibility criteria are available through Council.
