The Blackall-Tambo Regional Council Libraries provide free access to books, digital resources, technology and community programs for residents and visitors alike.

Whether you're looking for your next great read, researching history, downloading eBooks, or bringing the kids along to story time, our libraries are here to help.

Library membership is free and available to everyone.

Library Membership

Your library membership gives you access to:

  • Books for adults, young adults and children
  • Large print books
  • Audiobooks
  • DVDs
  • Magazines
  • Free public Wi-Fi
  • Public computers
  • Printing and photocopying (fees apply)
  • Digital collections including eBooks, eAudiobooks and eMagazines
  • Online genealogy resources through Ancestry Library Edition (available in-library)

As members of the Rural Libraries Queensland network, your library card can be used at more than 60 participating libraries across Queensland. Borrow items while travelling and simply return them to your local library.

If we don't have the item you're looking for, we'll happily request it from another library.

Family Programs

First 5 Forever

First 5 Forever is a free early literacy program helping families give children the best possible start in life.

Through talking, reading, singing and playing together every day, children develop important language, communication and learning skills.

Programs are delivered free through Queensland public libraries and are designed for children from birth to five years.

  • During school terms

Tambo Library

  • Mondays
  • 9:30am - 10:30am
  • During school terms

Parents and carers are encouraged to bring a water bottle and avoid mealtimes within the Library building.
