Plant Smart, Grow Smart
When planting in your yard, especially near powerlines, it’s important to choose the right plants.
Council supports the Plant Smart program, developed with Ergon Energy and Greening Australia, to help residents select appropriate species that:
- Grow safely under powerlines
- Reduce the risk of outages or hazards
- Avoid future removal or trimming
A list of suitable native plants for our region is available in the Plant Smart brochure(PDF, 2MB).
