Join us for a regional awards evening celebrating businesses across Blackall and Tambo. This event provides an opportunity to connect, recognise achievements, and hear from a guest speaker.

Free Business Classifieds
Blackall-Tambo Regional Council has partnered with the Barcoo Independent to offer free text-only business classifieds throughout May.
This opportunity is suited to:
- Trades and services
- Home-based businesses
- Training providers
- Mobile or non-shopfront businesses
It provides a practical way to reach customers beyond social media and connect with the broader community through print.

Shopfront Renewal Program
Successful applicants for this year’s Shopfront Renewal Program will be announced during May.
The program supports local businesses to:
- Improve shopfront appearance
- Enhance accessibility
- Create more welcoming and vibrant spaces
This forms part of Council’s ongoing commitment to strengthening main streets in both Blackall and Tambo.
One-on-One Business Support Sessions
Bookings are now open for individual support sessions with Council’s Small Business Officer.
Support is available for:
- Google Business profile setup and improvements
- Shopfront approvals, including signage and street dining
- Working with Council, including vendor onboarding
- Starting a business in Blackall or Tambo
- General business support and advice

Queensland Small Business Month recognises the important role small businesses play in the region, both economically and socially.
